Hello, I am developing a monolithic print driver from the ground up. I have succeeded in establishing communications between my driver and the GDI (i.e., my DrvXXX functions are being called). When my DrvEnableSurface function is called, I am creating a surface bitmap with a call to EngCreateBitmap. The call to EngCreateBitmap only asks me for the height and width in pixels, but it does not ask me for the resolution (i.e., 250 dpi, 500 dpi, 1000 dpi, etc.). Exchange 2007 SP2 Install Issue
SBS2008 OK I ran the SBS2008 BPA and it reports that Exchange 2007 SP2 is not installed. I do a little more research and see a tool that Microsoft has put out to help install SP2 on an SBS2008 server. I download the SP2 and the tool and start to run. When the SP2 installation starts it errors out saying that a 'reboot from a previous installation is pending. Please restart the system and rerun setup'. I go ahead and restart the server. WFBS 6 & SBS2008 Issue
SBS2008 Std I am installing the latest Trend WFBS 6 (from Trend's website) on a new SBS2008 server. Install works fine but when I try and open the WFBS console instead of getting the log in screen for WFBS instead I get a blank page. I remember something I had to do in the past to get WFBS 6 working in SBS2003 (security issue I believe) but I can't find my notes and can't find anything at Trend or google searches. Project server licensing glitch with added issue
Hello all, I installed project server 2007 without a hitch several months ago (full license), but due to management not needing it yet it sat this whole time without being used. I'm trying to upgrade a large project from VS 6.0 to VS 2005. After fixing a lot of things that changed (mostly sloppy coding in the original project that VS2005 didn't allow), I got the release version to build successfully. Weird Issue in MFC application
I have a MFC application that starts a UI thread (class derived from CWinThread) in which a hidden dialog box with a browser control on it is created. I never had any problems with this application until recently when I noticed a very strange behavior. When I close the application I signal the thread to exit, which reaches its ExitInstance method, and then I call CWinThread::ExitInstance. This call returns consistently after exactly 1 minute, which blocks the whole application, because I have to wait for the thread object to become signaled. Network Visibility Issues
I've got 5 XP computers connected and they are all in the same Workgroup. The 'master' computer contains a database accounting system and all 5 computers can access this without any problems. The problem is that in My Network Places on the 'master' computer, I can only see the C: drives of computer 1 and computer 5. Computers 2, 3 and 4 do not let me see anything. One of my Exchange 2003 DBs had some corruption in it so I was advised to create a new DB, dump everyone's mail to a pst and then import it. I noticed that when it dumped most of the mailboxes it created the file as login.pst but some it did firstname.lastname.pst and on some it left off some letters like SarahZ becoming SaraZ.pst. When I went to do the import some of the directory names were screwed up. Rather than showing up as login they showed up as login2651262 and so the file it was looking for was login2651262.pst. Is this a bug in the program? Any idea what is causing this? ...

Messagelabs issue with remote workers
I have a client who has recently introduced the MessageLabs service. Following the instructions provided they have restricted only the MessageLabs servers from being able to connect to the Exchange 2000 Virtual SMTP Server. This of course in turn prevented the remote users who use POP and IMAP and Outlook/Outlook Express from being able to send Email via this server. These restrictions have since been removed in order to allow the remote workers to connect and send mail. Cached Mode and GAL Issues
Hello All:Exchange 2003 SP2 with Outlook 2003 Clients. Running clients in cached mode and changes to GAL are not upfdating to clients. I have followed some of the KB articles and 'fixes' found in other posts to no avail.Last tried changing times when Exchange rebuild OAB, deleted .ost from client and downloaded 'new' OAB....still same thing. Outgoing traffic from port 25?
We have an Exchange 2003 Server. I have been noticing the firewall blocking outbound communication from port 25 on the Exchange server (inbound and outbound traffic to port 25 is allowed). It always appears to be in response to inbound spam, but I can't be 100% certain. NDR is turned off, and Delivery Receipts appear to go TO port 25, not FROM 25. From monitoring the port usage it appears the port 25 traffic is indeed coming from Exchange and not some other process. Is this normal? What is Exchange sending out from port 25? After having set up outlook I find that there seems to be a password issue with the email account. Outlook will not save it!
